Eddie Felton

My name is Eddie Felton I am 17 years old and I am currently in my first year of studying for my A Levels. Ever since my Dad (Geoff) began going to Nakuru and visiting Daniel I have been desperate to go to experience the work they do out there and the culture of the locals. I am hugely interested in the medical centre and the school that have been built out there as the photos that Dad brings back always look incredible. I am lucky enough to have grown up with links through the church to Kenya and Daniel in Nakuru and I am delighted to finally be able to go out there and help out and see for myself the amazing work that the church is doing in Kenya. For my fundraising I am running the Colchester Half Marathon on the 24th March and I will be participating in the sponsored 24hr bike ride.

Myla Carey

I’m Myla and I’m 17 years old. I have always had a heart for Africa and when Geoff approached me with the opportunity of going to Kenya I was thrilled! I really want to get a feel for their culture and lifestyle and see how God is working over there and in other people’s lives and I’m most excited about helping to teach the children at the school and getting to know more about them and their experiences. I will be doing some fundraising for the trip and one way in which I am going to do this is by walking over the O2 arena on the 15th of April. I will also be participating in our 24 hour cycling event and doing some fundraising at college.

Sam Felton

Hi! My names Sam, I’m 18 years old, and I want to go to Kenya because I’m interested in what the church is like in a culture completely different to our own. I’m interested in meeting new people and using it as an opportunity to learn more about God, and to fundraise for this event I’ll be attending a 24-hour cycle with a few other members of the Kenya group.

Holly Martin

My name is Holly, I am 18 years old, and I will be going to Kenya in July-August 2019 to be a helping hand in a variety of projects. I am excited to go on this trip as it is an amazing opportunity to get involved with long term sustainable development projects that will benefit the local community.
On the 9th of February, I cut off 35cm of my hair to be made into a wig for people who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer and other illnesses, and donations from this went into my Kenya fund.

Sam Lettington

Sam Lettington is one of the youth members joining the team on the mission to Kenya.

Sophie Canning

My name is Sophie and I am 21 years old. Going to Kenya would be an amazing experience and would give me the opportunity to aid a community and experience a whole other culture.
In relation to fundraising, I have so far completed two activities. Firstly, climbing 5 peaks in 48 hours - a mountain climbing challenge in wales. Secondly, a bake sale as part of a musical performance at St Stephen’s church. I will also be taking part in the many fundraising activities we are doing as a group.
